Disaster Response Services at CNS Healthcare

CNS Healthcare is now part of the Tri-County Strong Crisis Counseling Program (CCP), in partnership with Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN), Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network(DWIHN) and Macomb County Community Mental Health Authority (MCCMHA). CCP is funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and is overseen by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

The mission of the Tri-County CCP is to assist individuals and communities in recovering from the effects of natural and human-caused disasters through the provision of community-based outreach and psychoeducational services. The CCP supports short-term interventions that involve assisting disaster survivors in understanding their current situation and reactions, mitigating stress, developing coping strategies, accessing sources of emotional support, and encouraging linkages with other individuals and agencies that help survivors in their recovery process. Crisis Counselors are available in person, by phone, text, chat, email, and online meeting platforms (Zoom or Teams).

CNS Healthcare is active in the community, providing education and building relationships with faith-based organizations, businesses, law enforcement agencies, social service agencies, and more. We are available to support people in high-risk situations or flood-damaged neighborhoods!
