Novi, MI – Community Network Services (CNS), one of the largest integrated mental and physical health care providers in Southeastern Michigan, has changed its name to CNS Healthcare. The organization will continue to operate under its current business structure. The new name is effective immediately and will be integrated through the organization, in 2018.
The new name embodies the company’s leadership position as an integrated health care and social support services provider. It denotes the company’s ability to evolve and progress in parallel with the dynamic healthcare industry.
As a result of the name change, the organization also updated its logo, brand, corporate identity, and launched a new website. The new CNS Healthcare brand directly links the organization to the healthcare industry. Moreover, the new brand represents CNS Healthcare’s commitment to consumers and patients to advance as an organization, to continuously improve care, and provide first-class services.
According to CNS Healthcare CEO Michael K. Garrett, “We decided to announce our new name in May because May is Mental Health Month. Since our inception, we have always focused on our consumers’ needs. Our name change is the evolution of the organization. After more than 25 years, CNS Healthcare has experience in managing and providing comprehensive integrated health care services in partnership with a number of community organizations, and we use a patient-centered approach to identify, support and promote overall health.”
With service locations throughout Southeastern Michigan, CNS Healthcare provides integrated outpatient mental health and substance abuse services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. CNS Healthcare is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) including accreditation as a Behavioral Health Home.
CNS Healthcare’s services include assessment, case management, psychiatry, therapy, residential, substance use disorder and recovery services. A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is onsite, at CNS Healthcare’s largest location to provide medical services. As the recipient of a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services’ (SAMHSA) grant, CNS Healthcare provides integrated care, nutrition, exercise, and health classes to patients. CNS Healthcare also operates psychosocial rehabilitation and drop-in centers in the community, facilitates a variety of health clinics and therapeutic groups in Southeastern Michigan, and works to advocate for and to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
CNS Healthcare has invested in technologies, which offer consumers more convenience and efficiencies in its delivery of services to advance consumer care such as MyCEHR patient portal and TeleHealth. Consistent with patient-centered planning practices, consumers can remain informed about their treatment by accessing the secured MyCEHR patient portal. On MyCEHR, consumers can view their medical chart and communicate with CNS Healthcare’s team of professionals concerning their treatment. TeleHealth is the next generation of healthcare services. TeleHealth conveniently facilitates the treatment of consumers remotely via secured video and audio sessions.
CEO Garrett said, “CNS Healthcare’s goals are to provide real world ‘convenient’ solutions for our consumers, and remove as many barriers as possible, so patients have increased access to quality health care and services. CNS Healthcare is also dedicated to increasing awareness about mental health in the communities we serve.”
