On Monday, January 27, 2020, CNS Healthcare (CNS) celebrated the opening of its new Detroit clinic at 15560 Joy Road, Detroit Michigan 48228 with two events! The day kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony and press conference from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
CNS Healthcare CEO Michael K. Garrett, his board members, executive team, staff and CNS consumers, Michigan State Representative and Chair of the Health Policy Committee Hank Vaupel (District 47), Wayne County Sheriff Benny N. Napoleon, Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones, State of Michigan Senator Sylvia Santana, Wayne County Commissioner Alisha Bell, Detroit City Council Member Gabe Leland, other elected officials, dignitaries and community leaders participated in a brief program, the press conference and cut the ribbon! During the ribbon cutting ceremony, CNS CEO Garrett introduced a new service – CNS Youth Services. CNS Youth Services specializes in the delivery of behavioral health and substance use disorder services for youth, ages seven to 17.
The festivities resumed from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., during CNS Healthcare’s Open House Celebration. More than 100 guests received guided tours of CNS’ new clinic. Heavy hors d’oeuvres, beverages and live entertainment by “Music By One” made the open house a memorable event.
According to CEO Garrett, “CNS was founded on the creed that people living with mental illness and substance use disorders deserve access to integrated, high-quality health care, and other supportive services. This belief applies to adults and young people, so everyone can live better lives in their community!”
The Detroit clinic will open for appointments on Monday, February 3rd.
