Detroit, MI, May 6, 2021— CNS Healthcare will celebrate mental health awareness month, in part, by planting flags—and encouraging others to do the same– to show that mental health matters to our community. CNS Healthcare is encouraging staff, persons served, stakeholders, and the entire tri-county community to show its support of mental health awareness by displaying a yard sign decorated to reflect their or a loved one’s mental health journey. “Seeing signs outside every CNS Healthcare office, city buildings, churches, schools, businesses, and in the front yards of our community will send a strong and resounding message that no one is alone in their battle,” said Michael Garrett, President & CEO. “It is okay to ask for help, and there is no shame or stigma in doing so.”
Every CNS office will display flags made by staff and persons served. Community participants are encouraged to display their signs in the front yards showing pride in their accomplishments. Celebrate Recovery, Sobriety, and Asking for Help while acknowledging that mental health matters.
All participants are encouraged to take a picture of their sign and share it on their social media page(s) tagging @CNSMichigan with the #CNSHealthcareCares #MentalHealthMatters hashtags. People without social media can share pictures of their design by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. CNS will pick their favorites and send the creators CNS Healthcare swag.
Sign kits will be mailed upon request by emailing: email@example.com or call 800-615-0411 to get yours. You may also pick up a kit at any CNS Healthcare office. Kits include CNS Healthcare branded yard signs, instruction sheet, decorating materials, and CNS Healthcare crisis and referral information.
The campaign runs May 7 – May 31.
