Compassion in Action
Through targeted education and outreach events, CNS Healthcare provides vital resources and human connection, empowering individuals to reclaim their self-worth and self-determination.
Your generous donation enables the CNS Healthcare Foundation to fund these crucial community outreach and education initiatives. Together, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and transform lives across Southeast Michigan. Thank you for your support and partnership.

Here are some examples of the life-changing programs made possible by your generous donations:

Meet Little Monster Coloring & Activity BooksList Item 4
CNS Healthcare Community Outreach & Education, Children’s Services, Anti-Stigma, Zero Suicide, and Crisis Intervention Teams go into Metro Detroit and surrounding communities to distribute Meet Little Monster Coloring & Activity Books. By doing so, we reach a large population of children and parents/caregivers that will benefit from this simple, but impactful program. Funding for the books and crayons is completely provided through grants or sponsorships.
-
Person-Served Events
Person-Served events are one example of how CNS goes beyond normal therapeutic interventions, and invests time and money in helping people recovery and integrate in the community. These events allow people to connect with their peers, make new connections, and are looked forward to every year.
-
Turkey Giveaway
Now in our 13th year of the Annual Turkey Giveaway, CNS is proud to state that we have helped bring Thanksgiving Dinner to 9,000+ families in the Metro Detroit area.
-
Veterans Events
CNS Healthcare believes mental health is a vital part of the overall health and wellness of veterans. CNS holds two events annually to celebrate veterans and share community resources:
• I Am The Storm Awards – Recognizes outstanding women warriors
• Veterans Breakfast - Held in November to educate CNS Healthcare staff and community partners on veterans issues, mental health treatment, benefits, and additional community resources that are available to veterans.
-
Warm Coats Giveaway
Annually, before the beginning of the cold winter months, CNS holds our Warm Coats Giveaway. We provide coats, hats, and gloves to teens and children in need to prepare them for the winter. Over the last 10 years, we have provided over 13,000 coats to the underserved youth population of Detroit.
-
Winterfest
The holidays can be a very stressful time for families who cannot afford food or utilities. Holiday food and gifts are often an unreachable goal for those at or below poverty level. To help assist in bridging this disparity gap and create a happy holiday experience for the children we serve, CNS holds an annual holiday event, Winterfest, which provides gift such as toys, books, toiletries, clothing, school supplies, food and drink, and gift cards. To ensure no child leaves empty-handed, CNS also ensures that siblings of children receiving services are included.
