CNS Healthcare is proud to be a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This means CNS Healthcare provides necessary services to any individual in need of mental health and substance use services regardless of ability to pay or insurance status, using a sliding fee scale.

Qualifying Services

CNS Healthcare provides services to children and adults who are uninsured, underinsured or underserved. This includes people with no health insurance coverage, lack of access or coverage to medically necessary services through their health insurance and those that would not otherwise have access to services at all. CNS Healthcare is committed to providing medically necessary mental health services to those in need, regardless of location or ability to pay.

Scope of Services

CNS Healthcare provides comprehensive clinical care services such as screening and assessment services, outpatient behavioral health and substance abuse services, targeted case management services, care coordination, psychiatric services, and other services provided by certified peer support specialists to adults and children. If determined medically necessary, these services may include the following:

  • Behavioral Health Screenings, Assessments & Diagnosis

  • Outpatient Mental Health & Substance Use Services
    • Crisis Intervention Services are unscheduled individual, or group services aimed at reducing or eliminating the impact of unexpected events on mental health and well-being.
    • Access to CNS Healthcare professional staff through the 24/7 On-Call service
    • Crisis Residential, Intensive Crisis Stabilization (Partial Hospital Services are not CCBHC covered services and you will be referred to appropriate local resources for assessment. The state-sanctioned crisis services are run by Oakland County Health Network (OCHN) and Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN), the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDDHS) Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans (PIHPs).) CNS’ current partnerships provide access to: crisis intervention services including 24-hour mobile crisis teams, 24-hour face to face emergency crisis intervention services and crisis stabilization services.
  • Outpatient Mental Health & Substance Use Services
    • Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
    • Therapy
    • Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) as deemed medically necessary
    • Specialized Residential
    • Psychiatry/Med Management
  • Outpatient Clinic Primary Care Screening and Monitoring through an established relationship with an onsite co-located primary care provider
  • Targeted Case Management Services(up to one time per month to assist with sustain and recovery, gaining access to needed medical, social, legal, educations and other services and supports based on medical necessity via telehealth, phone or face-to-face).
  • Targeted Case Management Services(up to one time per month to assist with sustain and recovery, gaining access to needed medical, social, legal, educations and other services and supports based on medical necessity via telehealth, phone or face-to-face).
  • Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services
    • Clubhouse
    • Peer Support
    • Drop-In Centers
  • Intensive Community Based Veterans Services
    • Targeted Case Management Services (up to one time per month to assist with sustain and recovery, gaining access to needed medical, social, legal, educations and other services and supports based on medical necessity via telehealth, phone or face-to-face).
    • CNS Healthcare CCBHC will provide these services at minimum regardless of military discharge status.
  • Intensive Community Based Native American Services
    • Targeted Case Management Services (up to one time per month to assist with sustain and recovery, gaining access to needed medical, social, legal, educations and other services and supports based on medical necessity via telehealth, phone or face-to-face).
